This side event working group on domestic heating aims to promote biomass use within the domestic heating sector.
In the framework of the EU’s long-term decarbonisation strategy, tackling the heating and cooling (H&C) sector is getting more and more attention. Biomass can offer a wide range of sustainable solutions, including in the residential sector. The key topics discussed by the WG include building regulations, air emissions and stoves & boilers certifications. This WG is open to all Bioenergy Europe’s members willing to understand and exchange on domestic heating related policies.

In addition to domestic heating, the pellet working group will offer all pellet stakeholders a platform to meet and discuss common issues and concerns regarding the development of the EU pellet market, as well as identify and propose actions to overcome current barriers.

This working group is scheduled to take place post main conference on Thursday 19th November 2020.
