Kent has served in a variety of senior communications positions in Washington, DC after spending a decade as a political reporter and editor at The Washington Post. He currently is Vice President of Communications for Enviva, a renewable energy company that is the world’s largest producer of wood pellets. He previously headed communications for publicly traded healthcare and education companies, and was Managing Director for a global public relations consultancy. His work has won numerous honors, including three Public Relations Society of America Silver Anvil awards (Public Affairs Communications, Crisis Communications and Best Overall Public Relations Campaign).
