Jean Sacreste, 63 years-old, Director in charge of energy models for Central and Eastern Europe. Jean Sacreste graduated from Ecole Centrale de Paris with a PHD in engineering.  After starting his career in the area of car safety and then automobile products at Renault, Jean joined the Montenay Group in 1987, one of Veolia’s (then, Compagnie Générale des Eaux) energy subsidiaries as Head of Strategy. He then served as Director for Industrial Development and then Director General of air-conditioning subsidiaries. In 1993, he joined the international branch of Esys-Montenay after the merger between Essys and Montenay where he was responsible for the operational supervision of international subsidiaries. In 1997, he was appointed Director for Global Operations of the newly-formed Dalkia Group, which merged all the Group’s energy activities. In 2002, he became Director General of Lithuanian subsidiaries and then in 2007, that of all business in Russia and the Baltic States. Since summer 2015, he has been Director in charge of energy models for Central and Eastern Europe. Concerning biomass, he was in charge of the construction and the operation of biomass-fired cogeneration plants in Lithuania and Estonia. He also contributed to structuring the biomass supply chain. Jean Sacreste serves as French foreign trade advisors and as Vice-President of EFIESS (European Federation of Intelligent Energy Efficiency Services)
